Zoe Rischawy was born and raised in Flemington, NJ. Even from a young age, she was always exposed to art, since her father is also an artist. As a young girl she would go for car rides with her father at golden hour, looking for picturesque landscapes to photograph for him to turn into paintings.
She graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with her BFA in illustration and minor in creative writing. In high school, Zoe discovered her writing, artistic, and photography talents; and during her time at Ringling College, learned how to combine them to tell stories. She has a creative and adventurous look at life and can work with many different mediums; including acrylic, watercolor, ink, pencil, photography, gauche, digital, and charcoal. Zoe has had artwork in numerous art shows in New Jersey, including The Young Artists’ Showcase at the Hunterdon Museum of Art.
She works as an art teacher while doing freelance work. She also would like to one day publish a poetry book that features her illustrations.
