Ashley Witzgall is a self-taught watercolor artist from the Jersey Shore area specializing in “abstract emotional portraiture.” She graduated from the University of Hartford Hartt School of Music with a B.A. in Performing Arts Management and obtained a certificate in Project Management from Cornell University. She began her art career in the music industry as a graphic artist specializing in marketing, production, and CD Design, and continues her career to this day in graphics and marketing. In 2011, after the loss of her brother, Matthew Witzgall, she pushed further into art and found her voice in watercolor. Her artwork, referred to as “abstract emotional portraiture” – showcases human emotion unconfined.
She’s held spots in several galleries throughout New York and New Jersey over the past decade. Ashley has dedicated her life to bettering her community and won a multitude of awards for her efforts in educating people of all ages about water, nature, perseverance, and art as a whole. She continues to teach art lessons, workshops, and seminars.
